What we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

This policy explains what personal information Yearn Swell collects through yearnswell.com and the Yearn Swell Investor Data Room, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you register as an investor

  • Your first and last name and email address.
  • Your organisation or investment firm and your position (if you give them), and what type of investor you are.
  • Your message about your interest in Yearn Swell.
  • A password, which is stored in scrambled (hashed) form. We can't see it.

When you use the Investor Data Room

  • When you sign in, which documents you open and when, which pages of each document were shown on your screen and how long it was open, and the internet (IP) address you used.
  • Attempts to open documents that haven't been shared with you, and failed sign-in attempts.
  • When you accepted this Privacy Policy and agreed to the Confidentiality Notice, and when we emailed you about a new document.

We keep this record so we know which information each investor has received, and to protect confidential documents. Each document you view is watermarked with your name and email address, on screen and in the document file itself, so any copy can be traced to its source. When you open a Restricted document, Yearn Swell is notified.

When you use the contact form

  • Your name, email address, organisation (if you give one) and your message.
